Every comparison entry on this site is written and edited by our team. This page explains what we look at, how we score and how we keep reviews up to date.

Who we cover

We focus on online casino brands that hold a UK Gambling Commission licence and that accept UK customers. We avoid sites that hide their licence information, that obscure their bonus terms or that lack clear safer gambling tools.

Our criteria

• Licensing and ownership. We confirm the operator's UKGC licence and note the parent group where it is relevant.
• Terms transparency. We read the welcome offer terms in full. Wagering requirements, time limits, max-bet caps and excluded games all matter.
• Registration and verification. We sign up and observe how the operator handles age and identity checks.
• Cashier and withdrawals. We test deposits and a small withdrawal where possible, and we record the operator's stated processing times.
• Game range and software. We note the studios available, the depth of the live casino lobby and any UK-popular categories such as slingo or instant wins.
• Mobile experience. We test the mobile site (and app, where available) on UK networks.
• Safer gambling tools. We check that deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion are easy to find from inside the account.
• Support and complaints. We look at how clearly the operator publishes its complaints route and ADR provider.

How the editor score is formed

Each criterion is scored on a small internal rubric and combined into a single editorial figure out of ten. This score is an editorial comparison indicator, not a regulatory rating or a guarantee of any outcome. Two operators with the same score may be very different in practice, which is why we always recommend reading the short editorial note alongside the number.

Update cycle
